ADSK was founded in 1995 by Mr. Ajith Lakshman, who recognized the potential of Sri Lanka’s coconut-rich environment to serve both local and international markets. With an initial investment of USD 1,000, the company began by sourcing coconut chips from surrounding communities and supplying them to domestic companies. What started as a small-scale initiative quickly grew into a structured business built on innovation, trust, and long-term partnerships.

Since 1995, we have grown into one of Sri Lanka’s most respected names in the coconut-based industry, specializing in both coco peat and coco chips products. We operate as ADSK COCO Products (Pvt) Ltd. in Sri Lanka, where we manufacture premium growing media directly at the origin. To better serve our international clients, we are also registered in Canada as ADSK COCO Products Ltd., providing reliable local service while maintaining full quality control at the source. With nearly three decades of expertise, we deliver a full range of eco-friendly coco peat and coco chips solutions—from raw peat and grow bags to bricks, blocks, and chip mixes—meeting strict international standards. Our journey, marked by innovations and large-scale exports, continues to focus on sustainability, quality, and community empowerment. INNOVATION AS THE FOUNDATION
A Key Milestone Came In 2000, When ADSK Secured Its First Major Supply Contract With Greensoils Pvt Ltd. At The Time, Coconut Chips Were Cut Manually, Creating Inefficiencies In Production. To Overcome This Challenge, Mr. Lakshman—Supported By His Father—Designed And Introduced The First Coconut Cutting Machine In Sri Lanka. Developed Specifically For ADSK’s Operations, This Breakthrough Significantly Enhanced Efficiency, Productivity, And Product Quality Within The Company. Later, Similar Machines Were Also Developed For ADSK’s Suppliers, Helping Strengthen The Entire Value Chain. That Same Year, ADSK Successfully Delivered Its First International Export Order To Korea, Generating Strong Profits And Establishing The Company As A Reliable Global Partner.
